Reaching out to Trusts and Foundations

FHL’s new ‘Trusts and Foundations’ Manager, Mick Boyle, has been in post for almost 6 months, working two days a week from his home near Stockport. Mick has excellent credentials having secured funding in excess of £400,000 to support renovations to his local parish church and a further £326,000 of European funding to support two education projects.

FHL Patron Applauds our Work

We were delighted to catch up with FHL patron the Most Reverend Malcolm McMahon, the Archbishop of Liverpool, at his home in the city recently. We discussed tensions in the Middle East and the pressures that prompt Christians to consider emigrating. His Grace applauded FHL’s ability to avoid politics, which allows us to carry out essential work in very difficult circumstances.

Thank you from the Bethlehem Office

On his recent visit to the West Bank Peter spent time with Nancy Wahhab and Reem Aburdeneh who staff FHL’s office in Beit Jala, close to Bethlehem. Nancy and Reem are responsible for gathering information on potential FHL ‘Family Support’ beneficiaries, putting forward proposals to the Holy Land committee and reporting on the progress of cases for FHL’s UK Management Committee. click image to read more

Fundraising in the Diocese of Shropshire

Grateful thanks go to the FHL Wallasey Group, who recently sent the Kenilworth office a cheque for £1,500. This impressive figure was the result of a number of fundraising events including a Good Friday collection, a Passover meal, and a bingo evening.
