Papal Nuncio Lunch 2018

His Excellency, the Apostolic Nuncio to Great Britain, Archbishop Edward Joseph Adams, hosted a lunch on Saturday 29th September to further the work of ‘The Friends of The Holy Land’. This event, held at the Papal Nunciature in Wimbledon, was organised by John Scanlon KCSG, KGCHS on behalf of The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, which supports the Latin Patriarchate in the Holy Land, and FHL which focuses on grass roots support to Christians living in the West Bank, Gaza, Israel and Jordan. click image to read more

In response to supporter requests we now have a number lightweight, easy to assemble cardboard collection boxes to share. The boxes are designed to encourage collections of loose change over a period of time. FHL at Lambeth Palace

Over 60 Anglican and Roman Catholic representatives, from 25 dioceses, gathered at Lambeth Palace in June for FHL’s third National Conference. The event clearly demonstrated FHL’s success in uniting UK Christians in the cause of providing relief to their Christian brothers and sisters living in the Holy Land. FHL CEO, Maria McCaffery, reported that their office in Bethlehem was seeing an increased number of Christians seeking help, creating an urgent need to extend their support. click image for more on this story



Robert sells Candles for School of Joy

Robert sells Candles for School of Joy

Robert Foskett, aged 11 and studying at The King’s School in Worcester, has raised a hugely impressive £830 for the School of Joy by selling candles.

In March last year Robert heard Fr Mamdouh Abusada speak about the work he undertakes as Director of the School of Joy in Beit Sahour, near Bethlehem. The talk had a profound effect on him. Robert reports; for more on this story click here
