Our work Development - Job creation We want to help reduce unemployment. Young people are struggling the most to find work. We are partnering with Christian-run organisations to provide job opportunities. Organisations such as clinics, Christian schools, Bethlehem University, creche’s, elderly support organisations, restaurants/cafes and local stores. To name a few. Offering both trade, ancillary and professional roles such as maintenance, accountancy, waiting staff, gardener, lawyer, office administrator, nursery worker etc. Individuals will receive up to £440 per month, depending on how many hours they work. Minimum wage in the West Bank is around £410 per month. The job scheme provides individuals with dignity of work, an opportunity to gain new skills and an improved quality of life for the wider family. And of course, all roles are providing a much-needed service to the wider community, whilst benefitting the local economy. Ra'if "Being accepted in the FHL Job creation program was the moment everything began to change. To me, it felt like a drowning man being thrown a rope to cling to. It wasn't just about the money, it was about having a purpose again and being able to fulfil my responsibilities." FHL will invest £300,000 in support of unemployed Christians in the Holy Land.
