Making a Gift in your Will is simple and free with our help

Making a Gift in your Will may seem like a difficult decision; we strongly suggest you seek legal advice regarding Will-writing. You can now have a new simple Will written, or an existing Will updated, by a professional solicitor, completely free of charge.

This is possible because Friends of the Holy Land has recently become a member of The National Free Wills Network. The Network comprises over 900 solicitors around the UK, meaning that on average there is a solicitor within 3 miles of every home. Through this service the full cost of your Will is covered by Friends of the Holy Land. You can request either a simple single Will, or a mirror Will, created by a qualified local solicitor in your local area.

Request your application pack

Most people would agree that having a professionally written Will is the best way to ensure your wishes are followed in the future. However, those that already have a Will may not realise that the Law Society recommends you review your Will at least every 5 years as personal circumstances change. Our offer allows you to do this with a professional solicitor for free.

If you choose to use this service, you don’t have to leave a Gift to Friends of the Holy Land; of course, we would be very grateful if you did.

Your request does not commit you to paying any money. If a participating solicitor considers that a simple, free Will is not suitable for your personal circumstances, the solicitor will inform you of this, and then it is your choice whether to agree to the drafting of a Will entirely at your expense or to cancel the process without charge.

Please, request your application pack to meet with a solicitor near you through the National Free Wills Network. The National Free Wills Network will then send you a pack with details of between two and six local firms participating in the scheme within two weeks. After this, you can request an appointment with one of the participating solicitors in your area at your convenience.

In that meeting you will decide if and how you would like to support the Friends of the Holy Land in your Will (you are under no obligation to do so).

Thank you for considering leaving us a gift so that we can continue our work to secure a resilient and enduring Christian community in the Holy Land!
