Development - Jordan Jordan hosts more displaced people than almost any other country in the world. It has now welcomed over 4.5 million refugees – 40% of its residents are refugees. In Jordan FHL focuses on supporting the more vulnerable communities of Christian refugees from Iraq, Syria and other countries. We partner with two churches to provide support, based on the local needs. This year we are helping in ways that include: Food coupons for families School fees Medical support including access to medical services, blood tests and prescribed medication Funding an annual conference for Christian women to come together and worship, pray, study the Bible and build relationship Supporting a young person with special needs to enrol at the Holy Land Institute for the Deaf Providing training to young women to support them to become pastry chefs Sara “The training has provided me with a new profession and a new life experience. I’ve got new friends, like a second family. I’m so grateful!" FHL will invest over £50,000 of support into Jordan this year. More if we receive additional funding.
