Choral Evensong to pray for peace in the Holy Land Wakefield Cathedral: Choral Evensong, Sunday 11th February at 3.30pm Join us on Sunday 11th February for a special vigil service for Peace in the Holy Land. Led by the Rt Revd Tony Robinson, Bishop of Wakefield, joined by the Dean, the Very Revd Simon Cowling and other Church Leaders from the area, the Evensong service will bring the Christian community of Wakefield together in prayer for the relief of suffering, for a ceasefire and a lasting path to peace. All are most welcome to attend. The Choral Evensong service will be followed by refreshments where there will be an opportunity to speak with Brendan Metcalfe, CEO of Friends of the Holy Land who will provide an update on the little reported news from his network of contacts in the Holy Land. Wakefield Cathedral is hosting “The 50 Faces of the Holy Land” exhibition 2nd - 12th February 2024. Please visit the exhibition during Sunday afternoon or during the week.
