We are privileged to have the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd. and Rt. Hon. Justin Welby as one of our patrons.

"I am very pleased to have become a patron to the Friends of the Holy Land. I support the essential work this charity is doing in the Holy Land, giving practical help and moral support to those in the greatest need".

Archbishop Justin is passionate about preserving the Christian community in the Holy Land. He went on a solidarity visit to Jerusalem in late October, shortly after the Hamas attacks and the start of the Gaza war.  That was his third visit to the Holy Land since taking office as Archbishop of Canterbury.

Archbishop met Fr Fadi, Chair of the Friends of the Holy Land Committee when he visited the UK in March 2024. He said

"I give thanks to the ministry of Father Fadi Diab at this critical time, and I pray that God will guide and watch over him, the wider Diocese of Jerusalem, and all Christian churches as they provide comfort and support to those most in need."
