The annual Holy Land Coordination began on Saturday 14 January, with Bishops from 11 countries gathered in Jordan to meet with the Christian community. The Holy Land Coordination was established in the late 1990s. The pilgrimage has been held annually in January since the year 2000,  with the aim of supporting the Holy Land’s Christian communities.

The theme chosen for the  visit is: "The role and importance of the Christian community in Jordan"

As well as visiting parishioners and young people throughout Jordan, the Bishops will be meeting Christian refugees from Iraq and Syria.

Friends of the Holy Land Executive Director, Brendan Metcalfe, is lucky enough to be invited to accompany the Bishops throughout their time in Jordan.
