On the 17th of December we celebrate St. Barbara’s day, it’s an old tradition here in our country that we like to keep for generations as a blessing.

On this day we make a special dessert called “borbara” referred to the Saint’s name, which is made of boiled wheat grains and mixed with flour, dried fruits, sugar and pomegranate.

Women make this dessert and take them for their families and neighbours to keep remembering this day as a blessing to their homes. May god bless our ladies.
